waterdrop® is an international consumer brand on a mission to help people live healthier, more sustainable lives by rethinking hydration. With its innovative Microdrinks, the company makes drinking more water easy, enjoyable and environmentally responsible – without single-use plastic bottles and with a significantly reduced carbon footprint compared to conventional bottled beverages.

Operating at the intersection of FMCG, DTC, e-commerce and retail, waterdrop® combines a strong direct-to-consumer business with online marketplaces, owned retail stores and B2B partnerships across multiple international markets. With around 400 employees and headquarters in Vienna, the company continues to scale globally while strengthening its country organisations.

As Chief People Officer, you will shape the people, leadership and organisational agenda behind waterdrop®’s next phase of international growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you take overall responsibility for the People function and work closely with the executive team to ensure that leadership quality, talent density and organisational clarity support sustainable growth at scale.

Stellenanforderungen

Your experience and strengths...
This role is designed for an experienced People Leader who is comfortable operating both at executive level and close to the operational reality of a scaling organisation.

  • Senior People leadership experience in a fast-growing organisation, with full People responsibility or strong exposure to international scaling, organisational design and leadership development.

  • Strong business and operational understanding, with the ability to link People decisions to growth and long-term value creation, ideally in FMCG, DTC, retail or e-commerce environments.

  • Proven experience in Talent Acquisition, workforce planning and capability development, with a clear focus on hiring quality and talent density.

  • Experience designing and implementing leadership development, performance management, compensation and succession frameworks at scale.

  • International HR experience across markets and cultures, ideally from an HQ role supporting and scaling country organisations in Europe.

  • Data-driven People leadership, using KPIs and insights to support executive decisions, highlight risks and ensure transparency and accountability.

Job facts

  • Location: Vienna (on-site presence expected; relocation required)

  • Work model: Full-time role with; international travel depending on growth phase

  • Compensation: min. EUR 130,000 fixed salary + 30% variable, plus ESOP participation

  • Team: Leading the existing HR team; a Global Head of HR Operations will be hired and report into the CPO
